Cheryl, Jimmy, and Baker Family,I am really sad to see the news of Danny´s death. I know that today would have been his 34th birthday. I just happened to look for him on Facebook today, to reconnect, say hello, or just to see what was going on. I hadn´t expected to find this page. My sincerest condolences and prayers go out to you, and to Melissa his wife, and to your children. I loved Danny. My best friend in 4th and 5th grade... I spent so many fun times with him. He was a great friend. I miss him. I pray that God will give you all His grace, His strength, and His peace as you move forward. Sincerely, Jesse Bentley

It's been a week since Danny passed. I think of him every day. He was my nephew and I loved him dearly. Danny was unique and talented in many ways. From his love of playing drums, to his artistic ability, to building things for his sons. He loved his wife and his sons very deeply. Every time I think of him I remember his smile and his joy. He will always be in my heart.

I am sorry that Joseph Granvil Baker was left out of the obituary. He was Danny''s grandfather that died many years ago. Danny loved him and his memories of him. It was such an emotional time so I know things like that happen and it wasnt intentional. Just want to apologize to the family for the error. Those of us who worked on the obituary were deeply saddened at our loss of Danny and our minds were not where they normally are. We did our best but unfortunately forgot Pap''s name. We have not forgotten Pap Baker. He is in our hearts. I love you Danny and know that you are with your Pap Baker now, and also your Grandpap Burnside, Grammy, and Uncle Don. I love you!You are in my heart forever. momma

Danny was always the most easy going, and one of the funniest of all my friends. He was usually up for anything, especially if it went fast or made a loud bang. When I think about Danny this is the story that will always come to mind. We were doing a hill climb on quads and motorcycles and of course Danny was the first one to the top. When I got near the top he was standing there watching. I didn''t quite make it all the way and the front end of my quad came off the ground so Danny tried to grab the front rack to bring it back down. He missed and just as I started over backwards I made eye contact with him and he gave me this really funny/concerned look and waved like the road runner waving at the coyote. As I rolled backwards, bike on top of me down the hill he still managed to have me laughing. I know we grew up and didn''t get to see each other as often but man I''ll miss you buddy.

Barry, Mary Jane & family.... I know that at this time you are all sad and missing Danny. My husband, Chuck, went to heaven on 02/04/10 and even though I know he is with the Lord.. I miss him and I have to go on without him here physically. May God give you all Comfort as only He can give at this time of sorrow and in the days to come... Love & Prayers, MaryTo my dearest family, some things I'd like to say... but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay. I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above. Here, there's no more tears of sadness but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain, then you can say to God at night......""""My day was not in vain."""" And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile, knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile. So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low, just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go. When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind. And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free, remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me

Danny--I believe there are no words that can express sorry when it comes to the life of your child being taken away. Especially a son as special to you as Danny was. Every parent--whether they admit it or not--feels something extra for their first born. I'm sure you are no different. Please know that Gary and I are here for you "anytime" you need us. We love you and you are in our thoughts daily.Always,Kathy & Gary

He is with Jesus now, and, even though we are sad, we should be happy because we had the privelage to know him. May God be with his family in their time of need. I didn't know Danny as well as I would have liked, but as the second oldest cousin on his mother's side of the family, I always looked up to him, the oldest. I still can't believe he's gone and my heart goes out to his wife and sons, Aunt Tootie, Chelsi, and Jimmy. I wore a lot of his hand-me-downs as I was growing up, but I could never hope to be as big a presence as him
