To Norma Jean,I know this is extremely late but, as you know, I just learned of Ed's passing. He was a marvelous man and always so lovely to me and to my late husband Bob. He helped us in so many ways through First National and later Huntington Bank. I'll never forget his "kiss" during the dedication service of the church. He made so many things happen for people in the Morgantown community. He was a blessing sent from God and I will never forget him and his love. May God continue to bless and strengthen you.Love,Carolyn

Norma & Family, I was very sad when I saw the obituary in the Vindicator. As you know your friendships, when we worked at Mahoning Nat'l Bank has always been treasured. Ed had always had a tremendous wit. I especially remembered the surprise birthday party we planned & it came off without him finding out. My father & my husband Dave also has that type of humor. You and your family have our deepest sympathy. He was a great person & am privledged to have known him & You.

To the family of Mr. Skriner,I had the privilege of working at First National Bank when Mr. Skriner was President. He always had an opened door policy and had for every employee. You could hear him laugh throughout the bank. He was a kind and gentle soul and left a lasting impression with everyone he met. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during the difficult time. God BlessSusan Trimble

How fondly I remember Mr. Skriner. He was my boss, and I, his secretary, for a few years at First National Bank. (early 1980's) I was a young girl, just figuring out the world and Mr. Skriner was almost a father figure to me at that time. Many were the times when I'd visit his office to transcribe a letter and we would end up in long conversations, as he explained not only the world of banking, but life in general. How often, and dearly he spoke of his "Norma Jean" and his daughter Nancy. Even though he was anxious for me to make banking my career and had arranged to it that I become trained in all departments, he wholly supported my ultimate decision to leaving banking and finish college. I regret that we didn't keep in touch over the years, but I will never forget his infectious laughter, his good-heart and his wise & generous ways. Rest in peace, Mr. Skriner...and thank you for your kindness and generosity when I needed it most -- you meant more to this wayward kiddo then you'll ever know!
