A number of days have passed since my "little" brother went home to Heaven, but the tears and heartache still linger. However, those are tempered by the wonderful memories of our growing up together in the West Virginia hills and the many, many visits and good times we have shared together as adults. I consider him my best friend and I feel honored to have been able to call him my brother for almost 70 years. He has left behind wonderful children and grandchildren who are the legacy of a faithful, Godly servant. I'm sure God has said, "Well done". But, I miss you!

Due to time and distance, I met Jimmy only a few times. The last two most recent times were during times when my family was hurting through serious surgery with my father and with the homegoing of my mother. Like his earthy father, also a soldier of the cross, and like His Heavenly Father Jimmy chose to come along side and minister to us. May the Lord use his passing to bring others into the kingdom. He celebrates his birthday in heaven. God bless his his immediate family and brother Paul and his family. Uncle Harry would have been proud.

To our dear friend, Jim we only say good night for a short season. Oh the blessed thought of being re-united in Christ very soon. Jim, you were a godly gentleman that showed forth the love of Christ in your personal dedication to your family, your church family and everyone that came across your path.We will miss your smile, warm handshake and humble service for the King of Kings but we will see you in all of your surviving family members. I thank God for every remembrance of you!Paul & Johnette Carmean

To the Cooley family:Our heartfelt condolences are sent with this message. We became acquainted with Dan when he and our son became friends in high school. His parents raised him to be a fine, upstanding, young man, and a devout Christian. I am sure that Mr. Cooley is rejoicing with the Lord now, and that should surely be a comfort to the family. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family at this difficult time.Love in Christ,Bill and Bertha Romine

Cooley Family: I was truly saddened to hear about Jim's passing. Some of my fondest memories as a teenager revolve around hunting and fishing with Jim, Jimmy and my Dad. I especially remember those Sunday nights after church getting ready for opening day of gun season! I will be praying for you all.I Corinthians 15:54-55But when this perishable will have put on the imperishable, and this mortal will have put on immortality, then will come about the saying that is written, "DEATH IS SWALLOWED UP in victory. "O DEATH, WHERE IS YOUR VICTORY? O DEATH, WHERE IS YOUR STING?"

Linda, our thoughts and prayers are with you. Jim was my "other" brother and I will miss him. We seldom saw each other, but the bond was always there. Although the old pictures in our photo albums are fading, the memories of our adventures together in our youth will never fade. Your loss is our loss also and we hurt with you.Love, Rex & Elsie
