Robert C. Malcolm, 90, of Ridgeley Road, Morgantown, West Virginia, passed away Thursday, July 9, 2009, at Davis Memorial Hospital in Elkins, West Virginia. Robert was born in Rivesville, West Virginia on June 29, 1919, a son of the late Jess J. and Orva Freeman Malcolm. Robert was a veteran of the U. S. Army, Battery âCâ, 743rd Antiaircraft Artillery Gun Battalion, and served during World War II in the Pacific theater.He is survived by his wife, Dorothy of Niagara Falls, Ontario, son, Randy Hibbs and spouse Sharon of Deltona, Florida, a sister, Zelma L. McClung of Morgantown, two granddaughters, Kelly Brown and spouse James, of Damascus, Maryland, and Kristi Luke and spouse Thomas, of Orange Park, Florida, and several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Eunice, of Morgantown, three brothers, Jack F. Malcolm, Jess W. Malcolm, and George E. Malcolm. Full Military Graveside Service will be held in the West Virginia National Cemetery in Pruntytown on Thursday, July 16, at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Richard L. Work, Jr. officiating.
