Obituary of Liberio Robert Dallas

Liberio Robert Dallas, Jr., known by many as "JR", age 85 of West View Ave., Morgantown, passed away Christmas Day, December 25, 2012 .
He was born in Pursglove, WV on October 5, 1927, a son of the late Liberio Robert Dallas, Sr., and the late Rachel Zini Dallas.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Rose Marie Zator Dallas; one son, Liberio Robert "Robbie" Dallas, III, his wife Denise and their son, Dane Park Dallas of Snowshoe, WVand Florida; one daughter, Robin Dallas and her husband Marcus S. Rice of Maidsville; and two sisters, Irene Gapen of Waynesburg and Eleanor Swiderski of Florida.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Paris G. Dallas; and two sisters, Mary Shriver and Tulia Voithhofer.
JR was a graduate of Morgantown High School, Class of 1945 and received his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from West Virginia University. He was the owner of the former Dallas Pine Room / Dance Hall for 20 years and until his retirement, owned the Kwik Kleen Car Wash in Star City. He was a member of St. Mary Roman Catholic Church in Star City.
He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served from 1951-1952 during the Korean Conflict. He and his wife were member of the former Cotillion Dance Club. Additionally, JR was an avid golfer, and a member of the Morgantown Country Club and the Pine Country Club. He loved WVU Football and Basketball and never missed a game.
Family and friends will be received at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church in Star City on Thursday, December 27th from 5-8 PM and again on Friday, December 28th from 10 AM until the celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM with Father John V. DiBacco as celebrant. Entombment will follow in St. Mary's Peace Garden Mausoleum, where full military honors will be accorded.
During the visitation, JR's family would like to invite everyone to please bring photographs or stories to share.
