Obituary of Lelia Azalea Watkins Clark

God kissed an angel good morning when he welcomed Azalea into his arms.
Lelia Azalea Watkins Clark, 79, of Easton Mill Rd., Morgantown, passed away early Monday morning, January 21, 2013.
She was born at home on May 26, 1933 near Brown's Chapel on the Grafton Rd. She was the daughter of the late Wayne H. Watkins and the late Juanita Helms Watkins.
Azalea was a Methodist by faith and in her early years of marriage and raising children, she attended the Mt. Union Church on Point Marion Rd.
She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt to many. She never knew a stranger and welcomed anyone and everyone into her home. She loved to take car rides and play cards with her sisters and grandchildren. Her true joy was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her six children, Robert L. "Bobby" Clark and his wife Carol, and Daniel L. "Danny" Clark and his wife Marsha, Susan M. Nolan, Barbara E. Buzzo and her husband Tim, Allen W. "Big Al" Clark, and Darwin T. "Teddy" Clark and Mary Clark all of Morgantown; 11 grandchildren, Jennifer Mogyoros, Tara Jo Clark, Heather Clark, Heath Clark, Richie Nolan, Zachary Nolan, Casey Buzzo, Emily Buzzo, Stone Clark, Quintin Clark, and Mackenzie Thompson; five great-grandchildren, Mykah, Joshua, Jordan, Jayden and Justin; and two sisters, Mary Adeline Fantini and her husband Al of Schenectady, NY, and Phyllis L. Wright of Indianapolis, IN; and many nieces and nephews, but a special niece, Rachel McFarland. Additionally, she had four sisters-in-law, two that she was extremely close to, Rebecca Cato and Dorothy Garcia.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Robert L. "Shike" Clark whom she married on August 8, 1953. He passed away March 11, 2011. Also, preceding her in death is a niece, Cathy Ford in 2012.
Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown on Wednesday, January 23rd from 1-3 and 6-8 PM, and again on Thursday, January 24th from 9 AM until the time of the funeral service at 10 AM with Pastor Edward Craft officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at Mt. Union Cemetery.
