Obituary of Margaret Godfrey

Margaret "Peg" Cross Godfrey, 94, of Morgantown, WV, formerly of Parkersburg, WV, Columbus, Ohio and Navarre, Florida, departed this life on Saturday, February 9, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. Peg was born in Townville, PA. She is survived by four children; Dennis Godfrey (Pam) of Morgantown, WV; Diane Curran (Jack) of Sangerville, Maine; Deborah Minear (Michael) of Little Hocking, Ohio; and Robert Godfrey (Karen) of Winchester, Virginia; ten grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren; one brother, Philip Cross of Parkersburg; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Roy Godfrey, Jr., one brother, Reid Cross Jr., and a granddaughter, Laura Godfrey. The family appreciates the exceptional care and support provided by Dr. Richard Layne, Dr. William Minor, and the personnel at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Mapleshire Nursing & Rehabilitation and Amedisys Hospice in Morgantown. Cremation services provided by Hastings Funeral Home. Family and friends will gather at a later date to celebrate her life. Inurnment will be held at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Parkersburg. Memorial donations may be made in Margaret's memory to Amedisys Hospice Care, 246 Cheat Road, Suite 3, Morgantown, WV 26508
