I came upon this while looking up some information about my grandfather Joe Mehalic. I was born Carol Ann Morrissette, my mother is Sandy Mehalic Cones. I used to spend a lot of time at Aunt Marie’s house during the summer Until Mom remarried when I was 8.. I remember Aunt Mary made the best salad dressing! Good memories at Aunt Mary’s home, behind Great Grandma Fantacci.

As your family nears the one year anniversary of the passing of Mary Frances Fantacci Salzmann know that her memory remains alive in the hearts and minds of all who loved and knew her her, family, relatives and friends. Nary;s living legacy is her family, sons, spouses, grandchildren of which she was all so proud and as each of you pursue your activities and careers know that you have a guardian angel named Mary always near your shoulder and still relishing your individual successes. She would smile often with pride and laughter, so on this anniversary each of you relive those memories, tell those stories and like Mary smile ,laugh and celebrate her rich life filled with abundant love from family relatives and friends.

Dear Terry and Gary and your children and grandchildren I extend to you all my deepest condolences and heart felt sympathy for the passing of your lovely mother and grandmother and great grandmother.I am certain that God saved her a special place in heaven with Him. I have fond memories of her from a very young age when Terry and I played little league baseball on the same team and the year we played for the city championship. She was always encouraging us and rooting for us. I also recall her having birthday parties for Terry and how she had fixed everything just perfect for all of us.One memory stands out with Terry at one of the birthday parties when Terry threw a dart at the dartboard but hit his dad Karl who wasn't too happy with Terry's throw ! Mary smoothed it over and all was well in a very short time. I knew early on that MARY was in charge! In later years when I was an adult I bowled in 2 leagues and would see Mary at the bowling alleys. She was so nice to talk to and she always asked me about my family and how I was doing etc. God blessed your family with her for many years and she will be missed I know. Both of my folks have passed long ago also and your family , like me, will treasure your mother and grandmothers memories. I pray that God will send comfort to each of you during this difficult time. Correction to previous Condolence for Mary Salzmann As an example of Mary's sense of humor and joy of living we often shared late afternoon and dusk visits with her and her neighbors Leonara "Lee" Chico Adams and Mary Squires Chico good communication, friendship , authentic Italian cuisine, even visited Muriales in Fairmont, WV together a couple of times and also a party at Fannie's Red Apple at Morgantown Ramada Inn ( not fammie's Red Apple as misprinted previously). We always had a smile as did Mary from such encounters.

Deepest sympathy to the family of Mary Salzmann For over fifty years, we have known Mary and her family and she always had a beaming broad smile, friendly greeting, great sense of humor, joy and zest for living and expressed love for her family, neighbors, friends and community.Born in 1916 the same year as my late father, Paul Templeton who also knew mary, my parents and I often were lucky enough to spend many summer and fall afternoons and dusks along with her across the alley neighbor Leonara "Lee: Chico Adams and Mary Squires Chico as Mry Salzmann presidied over gatherings in her back yard by her driveway sharing laughter, insight, humor, authentic Italian cuisine, an honesty that was gained from experiences and knowledge and quality friendship and commadrerie. We even shared dining at Muriale's in Fairmont, WV a few times and even had a party at fammie's Red Apple. On each occasion, all who shared those times with Mary Salzmann always had a great time, laughed abundantly and gained a renewed sense of enthusiasm for life and leaving each visitor with a smile on their face too for having experienced the communication and hilarity/quality conversation with Mary Salzmann. She often spoke of her love for her family, her neighbors, friends and the hard times growing up and many years working locally.That same sense of joie de vivre Mary Salzmann had during those many visits continued as she advanced into her later years. Many will keep her memory alive through retelling of thiose sahred good times on summer and fall afternoons and dusks, relieve the fun experiences with Mary by tretelling them to others and they will provide comfort now in clebrating her long, rich life but also comfort her family in the days ahead and all who knew and experienced good times with mary Salzmann will forever keep her inour hearts- just as now we keep each of her family in our hearts and prayers at this time. Mary was authentic , and honest in sharing communication with others and that combined with her sense of humor and joy of living will continue to be admired by all who knew her especially now when at times many are reluctant to be authentic, benuine and true. Mary was a true and genuine wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, neighbor and friend to all and we all will keep her memory alive in our hearts and minds.
