I worked with Bill at Westinghouse in the 1980's. I was a secretary and Bob made every day fun, fun, fun!!! He was such a youth at heart. We exchanged Christmas Cards for years and years. A few years ago, when I did not receive a card from him, I worried that he passed away and I did not get to say goodbye. What a Wonderful Man....He is missed. No goodbyes...just a Big Hello the next time I see you in heaven Bill!

Bill I am going to miss taking about nuclear reactors and submarines with you. I always enjoyed hearing about your times on the Missouri class Battleships. You helped me write my first Avaition resume. The Venice airport will never ever be the same without you,

Bill and I became fast and furious friends when he found out I had lived in Argentina and shared his passion for "Tango" as well as a love of flying. We never got that dance Bill. Hold that dance card for me up in heaven! What a wonderful character! Will be so missed!

I had the distinct pleasure of beginning my career at Westinghouse under the guidance of Bill. He taught me so many things a never hesitated despite the fact that I was one of the first women hires in the group. His number one priority was teaching me to have fun and enjoy life and work. I endured his pranks and threw a few back at him. He delighted in finding ways to make me crazy. He lost a bet to me and owed me lunch. The driver paid. He took all the seats out of his car, but for the driver seat. I sat on the floor. I enjoyed stories of his life, his travels, his planes and his family. When he retired, we enjoyed a retirement celebration dinner including a pre-dinner flight over the city. In one of those rare moments, he was actually humbled that I paid for his retirement dinner. Bill was generous, funny, but really kind at heart. I am so much better for having had the pleasure of knowing Bill. My sincerest condolences to his family.

Underneath that cranky exterior was a sweet, generous, funny and fun man. A dear and loyal friend, he will be sorely missed by me and David. We cannot drive by the Venice airport without thoughts of him and how much time he spent there in later years working on his planes, giving tours of the airport for school-aged kids, helping the FBO staff in anyway he could. He has left such an indelible mark on that place that so many will never forget. We loved him very much.

Bill was a dear friend and fellow pilot for the last 25 years. There was NOBODY like him, there couldn't be. Pam and I miss him. We enjoyed the time we had with him.
