Obituary of Virginia Lee King Lacy

Virginia Lee Lacy, age 90 of Star City, WV and formerly of Clarksburg, WV, departed this life Friday May 10, 2013 at her residence following an extended illness. She was born in Clarksburg, WV on August 15, 1922, a daughter of the late John William King, Sr. and Goldie Irene King.
Surviving are two sons, Dr. Gregory A. Lacy and spouse Victoria Lopez Lacy of Morgantown and son Dennis Lacy also of Morgantown; two grandchildren, Robyn Lacy Buckley and husband Aaron Buckley of Matthews NC., Matthew D. Lacy and wife Carlie Parker Lacy of Morgantown; three great-grandchildren, Lauren and Rory Lacy of Morgantown and Parker Buckley of Matthews NC. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews with a special relationship with Dr.William Wine and wife Patty of Morgantown.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years William J. Lacy and sister Catherine Wine and brother John W. King Jr.
She was a homemaker and a teachers aide at the Adamston Elementary School, Harrison County, Clarksburg, WV. a graduate of Victory High School and a member of Vincent Memorial United Methodist Church, Nutter Fort, WV
Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce Street, Morgantown, WV Friday May 17th from 5-8 pm. Visitation will continue in the funeral home on Saturday May 18 th from 9am until the time of the funeral serices at 10am with the Reverend Kevin Cain officiating.
Private Interment will be held in the Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Mt Clare, WV.
