John "Jack" W. Yoke, 84, of Morgantown, passed away Saturday, June 15, 2013 at Ruby Memorial Hospital of Morgantown, WV.
Jack was born in Ft. Meade, MD on September 29, 1928, the son of the late James N. Yoke and the late Elizabeth M. (LeBlanc) Yoke.
Jack owned and operated Jack's Auto Body for over sixty years. He was a life-long member of the Church of the Nazarene and a member of the Gideon's for more than twenty years. He also was an avid fisherman and loved the outdoors. He was a wonderful and loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be sincerely missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Betty (Latham) Yoke; two daughters, Cheryl Madden (Jeff) of Zanesville, OH and Carol Lauzau (Tiff) of Fairmont; one son, John Kibbe of Florida; stepson Robert Teets (Kelli) of Morgantown; three stepdaughters, Theresa Libert (Ronald) of Wisconsin, Roberta Huff (Brian) of Ohio, and Chrystal Perdue of Morgantown; one brother, Lewis Yoke (Nancy) of Reedsville; 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Norris H. Yoke and three sisters, Opal Lang, Pearl Coddell, and Lillie Garrett.
Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce Street, Morgantown on Monday, June 17, 2013 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM, and Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at 10 AM until the time of the service at 11:00 AM with Pastor Louis Staubs and Rev. Robert Oakley officiating.
In accordance with Jack's wishes, cremation will be provided by Hastings Funeral Home.
