Obituary of Persley Allen Bane

Persley "Al" Allen Bane, 91, of Cassville, passed away Sunday, June 30, 2013, at his residence with his loved ones around him. He was born in Jakes Run on August 23, 1921, the son of the late Joseph Lewis Bane and Emma Belle (McCord) Bane. Al was a lifetime member of the Glen Oaks Church of Christ. He served in the U. S. Army Air Force from 1942 - 1945 as a mechanic on B17s. He loved to walk and was often known to go more than 3 miles a day. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his beloved wife of more than 67 years Betty Findo Bane; children: Patricia Jennings (Ralph) of Preston County, Norma Bowser of Ohio and Albert Bane of Cassville; 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 5 brothers and 2 sisters and his son-in-law Robert Bowser. Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce Street, Morgantown, on Wednesday, July 3 from 12 Noon until the time of the memorial service at 2:30p.m.with Vernon Teagarden officiating.
