Shirley, I will always remember you as the glue that held your family together. You cared deeply about each and every one of your children, and always showed how proud you were of them. You were never afraid to stand up for what you felt was right, and I admire you for that. We did not always see eye to eye, but I feel we had a real friendship, and I will miss you more than I can say. Your family is very fortunate to have had a wife and mother so dedicated to their happiness and welfare. You went through a lot in your lifetime, and it made you tough as nails. Rest in peace, my friend. I will always remember you.

I grew up with Shirley,we played together,went to school together,i even remember Shirley,Nancy & i going to Morgantown to have our hair cut & styled,we were neighbors in Maidsville and will never forget her. My heart is breaking for her Family(her husband,children.grandchildren,sister & brothers) Shirley will sadly missed until we all meet again! Love, Marilyn

My sympathies go out to Ed and Shirley's children and grandchildren. Shirley and I attended Riverside Jr High together many years ago. We only reconnected last year and I was able to meet Ed at that time. Over the past year and a half, I know that we've become good friends recounting lots of "old" memories. Her posts and comments always brought a smile. I regret that we didn't reconnect earlier but I am blessed to call her friend. Praying that she is resting in peace with our Lord, Jesus Christ.
