Obituary of Barbara Ann McBee

Barbara Ann McBee, 80, of Morgantown, passed into the arms of her savior on Saturday, September 21, 2013. She was born August 26, 1933 in Morgantown. Barbara was the daughter of the late William "Buck" and Emzie Devers. Following graduation from Grafton High School, Barbara returned to Morgantown where she raised her family and enjoyed the companionship of many friends and relatives. In 1954, Barbara married the love of her life, Morley "Jim" McBee. For more than thirty-five years, Barbara worked for West Virginia University retiring from the Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources. In addition to her husband, Barbara is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Ann and her son-in-law, Wayne Fisher; sisters, Nancy and Ed Skaggs of Grafton, Shirley and John Orr of Clarksburg; sister-in-law, Bonnie Kelly of Morgantown; and many nieces nephews and their families. She is preceded in death by her sisters, Rosemary Petrovich, Betty Lee Powell, and Ruth Royce and her brother, William Devers. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Goshen Rd. and Grafton Rd. in Morgantown. The family will receive friends at Barbara and Jim's home following the service. Memorial donations may be sent to the Morgantown Hospice, PO Box 4222, Morgantown, WV 26504, in recognition of the loving care their staff provided in Barbara's final days.
