Obituary of Melvin Donald Erenrich

Melvin Donald Erenrich, 88, of Morgantown, passed away Thursday afternoon, October 3, 2013 at his home with his loving family at his side. Melvin was born in Braddock, PA on October 11, 1924, the son of the late Jacob and Sadye Roth Erenrich. He was a member of Cornerstone CMA Church in Morgantown. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Melvin proudly served his country with the US Air Corps during World War II. He retired in 1988 after forty years as owner of Ideal Television Service (Ideal Home Entertainment Center). After his retirement he found great pleasure in being "Mr. Fix-It Man" in his children's and grandchildren's homes, as well as those of several friends. He is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn Pierce Erenrich; daughter, Tina Summers and husband Darrell of Morgantown; sons, David Erenrich and wife Janice of Hagerstown, MD; and Dan Erenrich and wife Connie of Morgantown; 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother and father. At the request of the deceased, no public visitation will be held. A private graveside service, with full military honors accorded for the immediate family, will be held Saturday, October 5, 2013 at the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Fairmont. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in his memory be made to either Cornerstone CMA Church, P. O. Box 819, Morgantown, WV 26507 or to Labor of Love Ministries, 980 Stewartstown Road, Morgantown, WV 26505 . Hastings Funeral Home of Morgantown, WV is assisting the family with the arrangements.
