Obituary of Margueriete Louise Reeder

Margueriete Louise "Peggy" Reeder, 83, of Morgantown, passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at Sundale Nursing Home inMorgantown. Peggy was born in Bellefonte, PA on December 21, 1929, a daughter of the late Clyde William Corman and the late Miriam Virginia (Wyland) Corman. Survivors include her three children, Susan Jean Reeder and Richard James Reeder both of Morgantown, and Shawn Michael McCabe and his wife Sherry Lee of Bruceton Mills; three grandsons who she completely adored, Douglas Anthony Scotchel, Jr., Jeremy Richard Reeder and Zachary David Reeder all of Morgantown; two brothers, Darwin Gene Corman and his wife Sandy of Milesburg, PA and Thomas Clifton Corman of State College, PA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three children, Virginia Lee Reeder, and infants David Allen Reeder and Lisa Ann Reeder; brother, Clyde William Corman and a sister, Blanche Thompson. Peggy was employed as a bookkeeper with Duntile Block for 11 years, and lastly as a cashier at Gabriel Brothers, retiring after 21 years of service. She loved the people at "Gabe's" and working there. Peggy was also very fond of her cats, Angel and Taffy, and collected glass cat statues and figurines. Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, on Saturday, November 2nd from 11 AM until the time of the funeral service at 2 PM with Reverend Michael Q. Atkinson officiating. Following the funeral service and in honoring Peggy's wishes, she will be cremated. Inurnment will follow in the Lawnwood Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest with her mother. Flowers will be accepted by the family at the funeral home.
