Obituary of Ula Jean Weber

Ula Jean Weber, 86, of Bakers Ridge Road, formerly of Westover, died Thursday, November 21, 2013 at home surrounded by members of her family. She was born in Rainell, WV on October 10, 1927, the daughter of the late Leroy Emaul Evans and Nellie Esther Miller Evans. Jean was a financial secretary both at the First Presbyterian Church of Morgantown and A.A.C.E. She has been a member of Spruce Street United Methodist Church since 1954. Over the years, she served the church in many roles including being a trustee. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of nearly 62 years, Robert D. Weber. Jean is survived by three daughters and their spouses, Carolyn and Keith Carr of Morgantown, Brenda and Will Hutchins of Nashville, TN and Jan and Bob Merow of Morgantown; her grandchildren, Amy Carr of Morgantown, Jonathan and Wendy Carr of Bridgeport, Jeff and Jessica Carr of Morgantown, Carrie and Charlie Hall of Morgantown, Timothy Poland and fiancée Yuuki Arica of Wisconsin, Matthew and Cindy Hutchins of North Carolina and Julie Merow of Morgantown; great-grandchildren include Josie Law, Cristofer Carr, Anthony Carr, Allison Carr, Hallie Hall, Henry Hall, Annabelle Goddard and Joey Goddard. Also surviving are her brother and sister-in-law, Ted and Carol Evans of Meyersdale, PA and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce Street, Morgantown on Friday, Nov. 22 from 4-8p.m.. Visitation will continue at Spruce Street United Methodist Church, 386 Spruce Street, Morgantown Saturday Nov. 23 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Timothy J. Allen officiating. Burial will follow in Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens.
