Obituary of Katherine Clere

Katherine Ann "Kay" Clere, 76, of Fairchance Rd., Morgantown, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday morning, December 31, 2013 at her residence. She was born in Blythville, AR on August 5, 1937, a daughter of the late Marshall Blackard and the late Ethel (Dark) Blackard. Survivors include her husband, Jerry Lee Clere; four children, Marshall Clere of Arizona; Jimmy Clere and his wife Anna of New Zealand, Kenneth Clere and his wife Toni of Greenville, SC and Crystal Musgrove and her husband Steve of Grafton; six grandchildren, Christopher, Rebecca, Katie Rose and Carolyn Jo Clere, and Joshua and Jordan Ann Musgrove; and her three sisters, Marsha Farrell and her husband Jack of Arnold, MO, Sally Bruns of North Carolina and Maryola Martin of Mississippi. She loved children, Mickey Mouse, Elvis Presley, and all things southern. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a loving mother and grandmother and a wonderful lady who would do anything for anyone. She spent several years running a daycare and took care of several neighborhood children. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown on Sunday, January 5 from 5-9 PM and again on Monday, January 6 from 10 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11 AM with Pastor Dan Meadows officiating.
