Obituary of Georgia Gay Rude

Georgia Gay Case Rude, 80, of Morgan Run Rd., Cheat Lake, passed away Wednesday morning, January 1, 2014 at Sundale Nursing Home in Morgantown.
She was born in Morgantown on January 28, 1933, a daughter of the late Sheridan Samuel Dunn and the late Bessie Jane Menear Dunn..
Survivors include her husband of 19 years, Charles Rude; six siblings, Norma Squires of Kansas City, MO, Betty Peters, Joann Smith, Judith Plush and Rita Costello Towns all of Morgantown, and James Dunn and his wife Amanda, and Elmer Dunn all of Ohio; three step-children, Charlene Stansbury and her husband Robert of Birmingham, AL, Roger Rude and his wife Lindsay of Clairton, PA and Cynthia Goff and her husband Michael of Morgantown; six step-grandchildren, three step-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Fred Case in April of 1994; and three brothers, Sheridan Dunn, Jr., Earl Dunn and Eugene Dunn.
Gay loved flowers, gardening and canning, and was a member of the Independent Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home of Morgantown on Saturday, January 4th from 5-9 PM and again Sunday, January 5th from 1PM until the time of the funeral service at 2 PM with Reverend Gene Brown officiating Interment will follow in Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens, Westover.
