Betty Jean Shulick, 83, of Morgantown, passed away Friday, January 24, 2014, at Sundale Palliative Care Unit.
She was born March 20, 1930 in Monongalia County, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Archie St. Clair and Lula Wrick.
Betty graduated from Morgantown High School. She worked at Hills Department Store as a Department Head for over 25 years.
She was a very active and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved boating, especially on her and her husband's houseboat with her family on Cheat Lake in the summers. She and Tom also were known to thoroughly enjoy a good card game as often as possible. After his passing, she became a faithful Bingo player, attending at the Senior Center in Westover every week. Above all else, Betty was a mother. She enjoyed spending time with her family more than anything, and her love for them was the driving force that kept her going. She was a very involve grandmother, who took great pride in the significant role she played in raising her grandchildren, Julia and Jacob Robinson. She has certainly impacted everyone who has been lucky enough to know her, and will be dearly missed by all.
She is survived by her children: Karen Shulick-Robinson, of Morgantown, and Thomas E. Shulick of IN; three grandchildren: Autumne Shulick Streeval (Justin) of IN, Julia Rae Robinson of DE, and Jacob Thomas Robinson of Morgantown; one great grandchild: Stella Jane Streeval of IN; and six siblings: Everett St. Clair, Madalene St. Clair Crockett, Nora Mae Ralston, Fred St. Clair, Susie St. Clair Rhodes, Scott St. Clair.
