Obituary of Mary Sewash

Mary Louise Sewash, 71, of 36567 State Route 78, Lewisville, Ohio passed away Friday, March 21, 2014 at the Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, W.Va. She was born at Morgantown, W.Va on February 15, 1943 a daughter of the late Elmo and Georgia Burbridge Johnson. She was a seamstress at Sew It Seams, Woodsfield, Ohio and was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Woodsfield, Ohio. In addition to her parents, she was preceeded in death by her husband, George E. Sewash Jr. on March 6, 2009 and an infant sister, JoAnn Johnson. Surviving are one son, Joe(Donna) Sewash of Raleigh, North Carolina. Two daughters, Christina Sewash of the home, Jennifer(David) Sewash-Schetz of Westminister, Maryland. One brother, James(Lynn) Johnson of Morgantown, W.Va. One sister, Patricia(Marvin) Fields of Morgantown, W.Va. Two Granddaughters', Abigail and Sophia Schetz. Friends will be received at the Watters Funeral Home, 37501 State Route 78 West, Woodsfield, Ohio from 2-4 P.M. & 6-8 P.M Monday March 24, 2014. Friends then received at the Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce Street, Morgantown, W.Va from 11 A.M. until the time of service at 1 P.M. Tuesday, March 25, 2014 with Rev. Michael Q. Atkinson officiating. Burial will follow in the East Oak Grove Cemetery, Morgantown, W.Va. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000 Dept 142, Memphis, Tennessee 38101-9908.
