In the fall of 1965 I entered Arnold Hall at WVU as a naïve freshman from Follansbee. And who do I find as one of my three roommates? Margo Stock from Wellsburg - Follansbee's arch rival. I thought this is going being awful, but due to Margo's fun-loving spirit and knowing no enemies, she made it easy for me to get over my fears and we immediately became friends. We even stayed in touch for a while after we graduated. It was shortly after Alison (Peaches) was born that we lost touch...too many years ago. But I have never forgotten Margo and what a great friend she was. It was so shocking to see Margo's obituary in the Wheeling paper when I was visiting my father-in-law this past weekend and only hope that someone will speak on my behalf at her memorial this weekend...to let her family know that Margo has always been a loving, caring person that made an impact on others' lives.

Hi Butch, I just heard of Margo's passing. I am so sorry for your loss. I know how that goes. It can be real tough. A friend told me after Sandy passed that all kinds of strange feelings and emotions would appear. He told me I may say some inappropriate thing. Nothing new there, but I was surprised at my emotions. He was right. I still tear up at times over missing her. I knew Margo a long time. She was always very friendly to me and Sandy. I'll miss seeing her the OLLI sessions. She always had a kind word and would always say, "Oh, he is around here some place," when I inquired about your whereabouts. We will miss her. I hope you will come back and teach some more classes... I will try to attend your celebration of her life, Take care... Bill

I'll never forget the times we sat on Marg's porch and attempted to solve life's problems and basically got to know each other. Also Margo's ever-present smile, her kindness and her upbeat personality. The glass was always half full with my dear friend, Margo and she will be sorely missed by all. I'm so glad I got to spend time with her at the 50th reunion. Our loss is God's gain. God bless her family and comfort them. Love, Pat

As has been written and referenced many times; "Tomorrow is not promised, and the past cannot be changed, therefore live each day to the fullest". I think that Margo followed this path. I am so glad that I had the chance to share the dinner table with her at the reunion. Thru all of her suffering, she had a smile on her face. She will be missed not only by her family but also by her many friends. Rest in peace and may God bless.

Lighting a candle for your bright soul Auntie <3 Through all the years of pictures, we can't seem to find one where you weren't smiling. Well, there is one on Mom's back porch when Terry convinced you that it's southwestern tradition to rub raw jalapeno on your lips before eating your meal! Aside from that painful encounter, and great laugh, you were never without a smile...And that's how you will be remembered and treasured always. Tons of love your way from your Arizona family! We love you tons!!

I worked with Margo many years ago when she was part of the staff of WVUH Dept of Hematology/Oncology. As a fellow cat lover, we shared many animal stories. We were a small group at the time, so we often socialized at group lunches, holiday gift exchanges, etc. She was a very special person and I am glad that I could call her my friend.
