Patsy Ann Hall, 68, of Morgantown, passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at Ruby Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Philippi, WV on November 29, 1945, the daughter of the late George Rodney Lipscomb and Beulah Isabelle Elsey Lipscomb.
Patsy was a 1963 graduate of Aurora High School. She was a member of the Aurora Marching Band where she was a majorette and played the clarinet. She was a member of the 4-H, Aurora Pioneers.
Patsy graduated from Potomac State College in 1965. She then received Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from West Virginia University. She was a member of the Aurora United Methodist Church and Wesley United Methodist Church. Patsy enjoyed being a member of the Mountaineer Duplicate Bridge Club, Campus Club, Mon General Auxiliary, Morgantown Service League, Valley Hills Garden Club and Osher Lifelong Learning Institute.
She is survived by her husband, Dr. William Hall; her children, Dr. David Hall and wife Dr. Mary Hall of Morgantown; Edward Hall and wife Tiffany, also of Morgantown; grandchildren Ryan, Katelyn, Mya, Dylan and Maxwell; brother, George Alan Lipscomb and wife Helen of Aurora; three nephews, George Alan Lipscomb, Jr., Gary Bryan Lipscomb and Jeffrey Wayne Lipscomb; and one niece, Robin Louise Lipscomb Chambers.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister Marilyn Jean Lipscomb.
Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce Street, Morgantown on Friday, May 9th from 1-3 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday May 10th, from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Cheryl George officiating.
