Obituary of James Donald "Joe" Maloney, Jr.

James Donald “Joe” Maloney, Jr., 32, of Granville, passed away Saturday, May 17, 2014 due to injuries sustained in a vehicular accident.
Joe was born in Ft. Myers, FL on February 8, 1982, a son of Drema Lee (Snyder) Maloney. who resides in Holly Hill, FL.
In addition to his mother, Joe is survived by five siblings, Rhonda Mason, Luke Hill, Russell Hill, William “Mickey” Maloney and Debbie Rose; as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Joe was currently employed by Kroger’s on Patterson Dr. as a clerk, and had previously worked for Wal-Mart. He enjoyed being in the outdoors, swimming and visiting lakes, and had a deep love for music – one of his favorite artists being Michael Jackson
.
He thoroughly loved visiting amusement parks and riding roller coasters, and spending time with his family.
Joe will be remembered by all who know him as a kind-hearted guy who would give you the very last penny in his pocket to help anyone who needed it – something he did, and continued to do right up to his death.
Family and friends may call at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, on Monday, May 26th from 10 AM until the time of the funeral service at 12 Noon. Following the funeral service and in accordance with the wishes of the family, Joe will be cremated and his ashes returned to Florida where a memorial service and inurnment will take place at a later date.
The family would like to extend their sincerest appreciation for the efforts of the Star City Police Department and the management and staff of Kroger’s since Joe’s passing.
