Obituary of Patricia Ann Murray

Patricia Ann Murray, 77, of Clyde, passed away Saturday, May 31, 2014 at her home. She was born March 17, 1937 in Morgantown, WV the daughter of Kenneth Opal and Dorothy Lea (Smith) Hall. She was the daughter in law of Nick and Ada Murray. She was a member of the Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church of Christ since 1969 and served as a Sunday School teacher, and member of its Ladies Society. Patricia was a loving wife, mother, aunt, sister but most of all she loved God. Patricia is survived by her husband, Franklin Murray, whom she married September 21, 1956 in Morgantown. They moved to the Clyde area in July 1967, which is where she went home to be with her God. She was the loving mother of her daughter, Beverly Sue “Susie” Murray, of Westlake, Ohio; brothers: Kenneth William Hall of Morgantown, WV, Robert Michael Hall of Houston, TX, and James Howard Hall of Morgantown; sisters, Janet Sue (Hall) Murray of Bellevue and Kathy Opal (Hall) Farmerie of Morgantown; 19 nieces and 11 nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by four sisters: Sadie Summers, Retha Carol Dailey, Juanita VanScyoc, and Linda Hall. Family and friends will be received at Nicholson Chapel Church, Summers School Rd., Morgantown, on Tuesday June 3rd beginning at 5 PM and continuing until Wednesday, June 4th at 2 PM , the time of the funeral service in the church. Interment will follow in the Nicholson Chapel Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the National Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17 Chicago, IL 60601-7633. Hastings Funeral Home of Morgantown is assisting the family with local arrangements.
