I recently called Job Accommodation Network to help someone I knew with a disability. I was the project director of JAN during part of the time that Barbara Judy was its director. JAN is a major part of her legacy. She was a pivotal personality behind it and deserves a great deal of credit for the people it now serves.

I met Barb many times and was privileged to serve on some committees with her and to have an opportunity to learn from her. Thank you for all of your work and your willingness to share your genius with those of use so eager to learn.

My deepest condolences to Barb's family,
Barb, was a role model and mentor for me. I first met Barb when we both served on a panel speaking at a conference of workers comp physicians. I was just a couple years out of college in 1984. Little did I know our paths would cross many years later as fellow ADA Coordinators. Barb contributed to my dissertation research on the role of ADA Coordinators in higher education and we co-authored a book on ADA Compliance in higher education with Virginia Reilly.
A true Advocate for persons with disabilities and a leader in promoting access. I am deeply grateful for her guidance and friendship through the years. She was generous, compassionate and courageous and caring.
The world is a better place thanks to Barbara Judy. May she rest in peace.

I enjoyed many years serving with Barb on the WVSRC and many hilarious shopping sprees at Value City near Dunbar. She would always start up every musical and animated item in the store during their Christmas display. She was a great person and a joy to have as a friend.
