Ronald Robert Ondish, Sr., 89, of Morgantown, passed away Friday, November 7, 2014 at Monongalia General Hospital of Morgantown, WV. He was born in Level Green, PA on September 5, 1925, a son of the late Michael Ondish and the late Alberda (Stitely) Ondish. Survivors include his two children, Ronald Robert Ondish, Jr. of Irwin, PA and Vicki Koshir of Greensburg, PA; three grandchildren, Melissa and Joseph Koshir and Kenneth Ondish; and three siblings, Bill Ondish and Jimmy Ondish both of N. Huntingdon, PA, and Verneda Kirk of North Carolina. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Ed Ondish, and one sister, Dorothy Weaver. A brick layer by trade, Mr. Onidish was veteran of World War II, having served in the US Navy. He previously enjoyed hunting and fishing, but more recently loved feed his deer from his front yard. The family’s wishes for cremation have been honored. Mr Ondish will be laid to rest in the Penn Lincoln Memorial Park at a later date.
