I met Mary my freshman year in high school. She hired me to sell Olan Mill Club Plans and call and remind clients of their appointments to be photograph. Mary was always smiling and laughing, in most circumstances. I can still see that smile and hear her laugh.
She was a great friend and employer to my sister, Carol. And through my sister I maintain contact with Mary.
We had several chats about Salvation when I visited her at Chestnut Hills Apts. That through faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, we had the promise of eternal life in heaven. I think of that verse in 2 Corinthians 5: 8 We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord." As believers in the Lord Jesus Christ our citizenship is in heaven.
