James Philip Straub, 81, of Morgantown, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Saturday, November 29, 2014.
He was born February 1, 1933 at Morgantown, WV; the son of John and Velia Straub.
Due to his moms passing early on, he was raised by aunts, Priscilla James and Marie Weibel.
He worked at Sterling Faucet 43 years. He also served in the U. S. Army. He dearly loved spending time with his family and his most favorite thing he enjoyed was spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Doris; daughter, Lori and spouse Jason Willard; grandchildren; Zachary; Megan, and Courtney; a brother Carl and spouse Janice; nephews, John and Carl Jr.
Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce Street, Morgantown on Tuesday, December 2nd, from 5-8 p.m. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, December 3rd from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Kevin Cain officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
