Terry we met when you visited El Paso a few years ago.
Eric and Vicky we only knew you as children so we enjoyed the video on this web site to see you as adults.

I want to express my sympathies to Joan's family. Joan and I had several matters that we worked on together and I have used Joan as a mediator on many occasions.
Joan and I had a wonderful working relationship and she will be missed by me personally and by the Monongalia County bar as well.
I saw Joan at the Westover manicure salon on Saturday, December 20. I had gone in to get my wife a gift certificate as a stocking stuffer and Joan was there getting a pedicure. I sat down in the next chair and we chatted for several minutes. She told me that she had just given a dinner party for 14 guests and that she felt like she deserved to pamper herself with a pedicure and a manicure.
God Bless you and I hope that you will find peace during these difficult times.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I did not know your loved one personally, but I do know the pain of losing a loved one in death. I knew Joan by my membership in the Rotary Club of Cheat Lake, which began in 2002. Joan was a very active and involved club member and exemplified on a daily basis the Rotary's credo of "Service Above Self". Most recently, she organized our club's annual Christmas Party, which was held this year on December 14th at the Pines Country Club. She did her usual super job and received a well-deserved round of applause from her fellow club members at our final club meeting for 2014 on December 16th. Little did we know then that she would not be returning for our first 2015 meeting in January, but we will certainly join to recognize her passing at that time and honor her memory. She was not just an outstanding Rotarian but an exceptional person as well. She will be missed by many and most certainly by her fellow Cheat Lake Rotary Club members who appreciated and valued her energy, enthusiasm, compassion, friendship, and service to the community she loved. I feel this quote could be Joan's:
Don't grieve for me, for I am free. I'm following the path God has laid, you see. I took His hand when I heard him call. I turned my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day. To laugh, to love, to work, to play. Tasks left undone must stay that way. I found peace at the close of the day.
If my parting has left a void, then fill it with remembered joy. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss. Oh, yes, these things I too will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow. I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My life's been full. I've savored much. Good friends, good times. A loved one's touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief. Don't lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your hearts and peace to thee. God wanted me now: He set me free.

Vicky and Erik,
Was shocked to read this obituary. Have just sent Erik a text and heard from him.
Would love to talk to you or visit, and update the last 10 years or so.
Joan and I shared many moments together, but did not stay in close touch. Sad when you miss your friends and then lose them.
Please be in touch, Paul and sue were with me and send condolences also. We spent some time discussing family ski trips that were such fun and happy times.
