I knew and worked with Dick for many years. I was an employee of National Mine Service Company and Swanson Plating. We were colleagues and competitors but always friends. The world will be a lot less fun with him not in it. My sincere sympathy to his family. I will pass on word of his passing to his many friends in Birmingham, AL.

May the family find comfort in loving memories, and in knowing that God is "close to those that are broken at heart; and he saves those who are crushed in spirit." (Psalm 34:18) Our loving Creator, Jehovah God, has promised to soon "swallow up death forever...and wipe the tears from all faces." (Isaiah 25:8) With deepest sympathy. Hey Dodie and the gang! I'm so very sorry to hear of Dick's passing. He was one of dad's best friends. I'm so glad I saw Dick and Dodie that last time I was in. I'll never forget that he had no problems talking to anyone at any time. A trait that I admired very much. You all are in my thoughts and prayers. If there's anything I can do, don't hesitate to let me know. Love you all!

To the Malcomson Family,
Heartfelt sympathy goes out to your family at this time. Our prayers are with you. Some day when you look at something beautiful: a sunrise, a sunset, a flower, a mountain, a rolling stream may the memory of your husband, father, and grandfather put a smile on your face.
Deepest Sympathy,
Shawndel and Jeff Staruh (Patten's sister and brother in-law)

Dear Family,
Please accept our sympathy at the passing of Mr. Malcomson.
The pain we suffer at a time like this seems to be never ending. However, because we have faith in the promises of our God that we can find comfort for our heart.
We have always been comforted by God’s Promise recorded in the Bible book of Isaiah chapter 25 verse 8 – because God promises there to do away with death.
It is our wish that you find peace and comfort in the promise of God found in His Word at John 5:28, 29 where His Son, Jesus, says that there will be a resurrection on earth of our loved ones.
God's strength be with you.
