Lois Katherine Hershman, 72, of Masontown, passed away Friday morning, May 8, 2015 at Ruby Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Morgantown on July 10, 1942, the daughter of the late George Dalton and the late Rosie (Murray) Dalton.
Survivors include four children, Donna Decker and husband Ralph, Kathy Andrews and husband Dave, Lillie Everetts and companion Doug Hoskins and Marty Hershman and wife Peggy; 12 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and six siblings, Rosalee Isner, Sara Lambert and husband Paul, Diane Dalton, Norma Pethel, George “June” Dalton and Dave Dalton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William “Sonny” Hershman; a son, Ellwood Hershman; three grandchildren and four siblings.
Lois loved singing Karaoke, traveling to Florida and taking her “Louie” naps. She was a great cook and loved spending quality time with her family and friends, attending picnics and cookouts, as well as traveling to Florida.
Friends may call at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown on Tuesday, May 12th from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM, at which time a procession will leave from the funeral home and travel to Dogwood Chapel Cemetery where a graveside committal service will be held.
