Obituary of Charlotte Marie Teets

Charlotte Marie Teets, 67, of Morgantown, passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2015, at Ruby Memorial Hospital after a short illness. She was born June 29, 1948 in Morgantown, a daughter of Hazel DeProspero Gasper and the late Charles Gasper. Charlotte was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church and was a 1967 graduate of St. Francis High School. She was the owner and operator of Charlotte’s Dance Studio and the Suncrest Cultural Center Daycare. She was a past International President of Quota International, was a founding member of the Dream Machines Car Club, and was a member of the Professional Dance Teachers Association. She was also active in the Monongalia County Democratic Executive Committee and was a former Outstanding Democrat of Monongalia County. She was affiliated with many local fairs and festivals, loved to travel, and enjoyed classic cars. In addition to her mother, she is also survived by her brother, Richard Gasper and his wife Bonnie of Morgantown and several loving cousins. In addition to her father, she is also preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Marvin Teets. Family and friends will be received at St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church, One Guthrie Lane, Morgantown, Sunday, December 27th from 3-6p.m. A Scriptural Wake service will be held at 5:30p.m. to conclude the evening service. Visiting will continue on Monday, December 28th from 10a.m until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11a.m. with Msgr Anthony Cincinnati, STD, VE as celebrant.
