Because lighting a candle now can show we still think about all the good times we have had and all the times we shall have once we are reunited together once again. with Great love we are always thinking of you and counting the days till we see you again.

Dear Betty,
I was so sorry to read about Don's death in the Elkins paper. My visits to Monterville have become few and far between in recent years but I have not made the trip without the hopeful thought that I might run into Don and Betty while I was there. I have so enjoyed knowing all the Hogans through the years, particularly since Parker and Annie and Sarah moved off the farm and into the little house as you turn off the hard road right in Monterville. Getting to know you, Betty, and Don was a real bonus for me when we became "neighbors" while my parents and I stayed at our "Wes Hogan Farm" so much.
Times change and knowing I won't catch Don there now will make my visits to Monterville even more bittersweet than they already were.
Please take care of yourself, Betty, and maybe enjoy the spring at least a little bit as it comes. Here at Chalk Hill on the mountain east of Uniontown PA we have a Monterville spring day today with the two inches of new snow melting slowly in the sun.
Fondly, Alan Clark

Sorry to hear of Don's passing. He was a dear friend for several years during high school and after. I enjoyed seeing him for several years at the Valley Head Homecoming but I missed the last two or three years. We can take comfort in knowing we will see him again.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. I can't get up to Morgantown, but know that Don will always hold a special place in my heart. He helped in times of bad weather and deep snow when Roger's Dad passed. I will always be grateful to him for that and so many other memories. I am sorry he is gone from here, but now he is rejoicing in heaven. Love to all of you.

Betty we are sending our deepest condolences from here in California. Its times like these that distance makes it so hard for us to be there with the family in order to comfort you at this time. Know that you are in our hearts & prayers. I was so glad to have been able to visit you both on my trip last year to Morgantown. I will truly miss Don and all the love he showed me each time I came by to visit. But I know we will all see each other again up in Heaven. Until is my time here is finished and our Heavenly Father calls me home, may he rest in peace. Sending hugs and our love Cely & Rachel Hogan
