George,
So sorry to hear about your loss. Mary was a wonderful person. It has been several years since I had seen either of you but I still have fond memories of when you and Mary used to visit my parents at the farm.

Words don't come easy at a time like this. My memories of Mary Sue go way back to her baptism. I had never been around babies and the thought of holding this beautiful baby girl scared me. I was afraid I would drop her but all went well and my first godchild did well and so did I. Memories are wonderful at my age and I will always remember Mary Sue's baptism. Uncle Bill and Aunt Sue and Mary sue were special people in my life and I'm sure there's been a great reunion with Mary Sue and her parents.
My love and sympathy go out to George.
Mary Clare Sokal (maiden name: Glancy)
note: Mary Clare Glancy's mother (Catherine) was a sister to Bill McCullum, Mary Sue's father.

As kids, we always knew her as "Mary Sue". As she grew up, she dropped the "Sue" ... but WE never did! Mary Sue was actually my Dad's cousin, but was closer to our ages. She and her parents often visited our home and vacationed with our family, making special memories for all of us. When she was a teenager, she persuaded our Dads to take us to see a Beatles movie at the drive-in - this was our introduction to the 60's! (... the Dads hated it!!). Her parents bought her a car, which she never got comfortable driving, so it sat in their garage. About the time I was graduating from college, she offered to sell it to me. That 1966 Mustang was my "first" car, and I wish I still had it! As an adult, Mary's passion was the Library, but her true love was George and their "four-legged kids".
Our sincere condolences to all the Schmezers. --Bob(by) Glancy
