Ann’s passing is truly sad. I appreciated her greatly while I was a graduate student. She made me feel comfortable in the department from day one. I think that was largely due to her not being as interested in me as an aspiring psychologist nearly as much as she was concerned about me being a good person. That is a lesson that I have never forgotten as a professor.

My memories of Ann are of comfort. She understood that my colleagues and I were stressed out grad students, young and growing into our professionalism, and she treated us with patience and a smile...even when we were inpatient and clueless. She was part of that department that helped us become more.

Amy and family and Kevin,
I was so sorry to hear of Ann's passing. She was not only a great office mate & co-worker, but was a very dear friend. We had lots of great talks, laughs and lunches together. Going to Arby's will never be the same. She would pull in with her 'wagon'. She always got her milkshake and I would get her a cherry turnover. She would always say 'she didn't need that', but ate it with a smile on her face. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. If I can ever do anything for you guys, just let me know. Ann and Don were great and special people.
God Bless.

Amy, Kevin, Grey, Mike, Jennifer & Ryan -
I am so sorry to hear about Ann and offer my condolences. I have a lot of fond memories of Ann as well as Jennifer and I playing at her house when we were kids. I frequently visited Ann and Donald after school when I was at Morgantown High and always looked forward to chatting with them while I waited for my mom to pick me up.
Please let me know if you need anything.
-Ashley

Ann was a devoted staff member in our WVU Department of Psychology. I appreciated her able help the years I served as Director of Clinical Training. I fondly remember her dry sense of humor and calm demeanor. Ann, you are missed.

I worked with Ann in the WVU Psychology Department for 20 years. She held herself to a high standard of excellence and served as a role model for us all. And she was great fun. It was a sad day when she retired, and it is sadder still to know that she is gone.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Recently I lost my dear mother,
and found great comfort in the Holy Bible, like at Isaiah 25 verse 8
"The Sovereign Lord will swallow up death forever, and wipe away
the tears from all faces." Also at Revelation 21 verse 4, we find
the promise from God to remove both pain and death. For more
comfort, I turn to the website at: www.jw.org (Search: Comfort)
