I did not know Bill (I work at the CDC) but reading his obituary reminded me a great deal of my dad. He passed about three years ago at the age of 87. My dad also fought in the Korean War and was a very big scouter. He was an Eagle Scout, he raised two sons that were Eagle Scouts and he had a grandson that was an Eagle Scout. He, like Bill, earned the coveted Silver Beaver Award and was involved at the district and regional levels. He took a troop, along with my older brother, to the World Jamboree in Japan back in the 70s. I was very proud of him as I know you are very proud of everything Bill accomplished in his life. This was the Greatest Generation. From reading his obituary, I feel like he and I could have sat down and had a perfectly wonderful conversation about all of his accomplishments. God Bless you.
