Sarah “Sally” Elizabeth Jamison Gerrard, 65, of Morgantown, passed away Saturday, February 4, 2017 after a long and hard fought battle with Multiple Sclerosis at Mapleshire Nursing Home in Morgantown, WV. She was born in Morgantown on February 8, 1951, the daughter of the late Donald Lee Jamison and the late Katherine Ruble Jamison.
In 1969, Sally graduated from Morgantown High School. She went on to be a phlebotomist at Mon General Hospital where she worked for 19 years. She loved the people at Mon General Hospital and the surrounding facilities. She always walked around with the biggest and brightest of smiles that often brightened others' days. Sally loved her son, who was also her best friend, as well as her four grandkids, family and pets. Sally was quite the animal lover having a great fondness for her dogs and cats.
Sally is survived by her son, Jason Gerrard and his fiancé Christina Beafore of Fairmont; grandchildren, Destiny, Gracey, Giana, and Devyn Gerrard; brother Donald Lee “DL” Jamison and wife Rhonda of Southport, NC; niece, Stacey Jamison of Morgantown; and nephew Derek Jamison of Ohio.
Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, on Thursday, February 9th from 4 PM until the time of the funeral service at 7 PM with Pastor Craig Falkenstine officiating. In keeping with her wishes, cremation services will be provided by Hastings Funeral Home, Omega Crematory, following the funeral service.
