Paul I'm so sorry to hear about Sandy's passing. We don't get the paper and I just happened to be on the Hastings web site and saw that her funeral was last week. She was a dear sweet person and I loved working with her when she was here at WVU. You and your family are in our prayers.

Sandy, we are keeping you in our thoughts and prayers.
You were that person who always met friends, as well as strangers, with a smile... always showing more interest in others than to dwell on your own troubles.
You had such a generous spirit.
We are thankful to have had our paths cross in this earthly life and we are praying for your safe journey into the light.

Family of Sandy Kiess Lewis: Our sincere sympathy on your loss of Sandy! Sandy was a special person not only to her family, but also to her friends and classmates. I graduated with her in 1964 at Tygarts Valley High School in Mill Creek. She was a popular with her classmates even then. She was a cheerleader, Junior High Cheerleader, National Honor Society member, involved in class political office, Harvest Fair Queen, Harvest Fair Maid of Honor and Harvest Fair Style Show, Band and Glee Club, F.H.A. and F.H.A. various offices and involved in her church and community! She was an all around person with many talents in her school and community. After I was married, I was a neighbor to her mom for over 30 years and saw Sandy at various times when she was visiting. I also saw her at a few class reunions over the years. Sandy will be missed by her family, friends and community not only in Mill Creek, but also in Morgantown! Our thoughts and Prayers are with all of you. God Bless and be with you at this difficult time! RIP SANDY

Dear Paul and Chad,
I was deeply saddened to hear about Sandy. I remember her fondly from my time at WVU (1978-1984). To me, Sandy served as our "den mother" even though she wasn't nearly old enough to be our mother. I remember that she insisted on being called "Sandy" instead of the more formal "Mrs. Lewis". She was always welcoming and could easily make us laugh when she stopped by (usually poking some sort of fun at Paul). She helped make the group of graduate students a family. With deepest sympathy - Cathy

I remember Sandy’s smile and kindness at TVHS as if it were this morning even though I was a three-year underclassman to her which says so much of her unselfishness and kindness.
Our prayers are with the family that as you rest on the promises of Christ you may experience love and peace that will comfort you.
