Odell I was sorry to learn Of Mary Margaret's passing. Even though we have been gone from the area for sometime we try to keep in touch with "the news". I saw a post by Roger Shumway. I have fond memories of my time at Northwestern HS.

The Memphis relatives are so sad to hear the news of Mary Margaret's passing. I am the daughter of Gene and Dolores Hastings, Carrie. Dad passed away years ago and Mother is at a nursing home now in Memphis. Mother turned 89 in January. My brother, Alan, and sister, Betsy, are fine and living in Memphis.
I have many many fond memories of Boyd, Grey, Uncle Lynn, and Aunt LaMarion and their family. As a little girl I loved visiting Aunt LaMarion's home and walking through the garden with Uncle Lynn. I remember eating ice cream and cake when i would visit. Everyone in Dad's family (all the Hastings')are such sweet, kind, and down to earth people.
What a wonderful life Mary Margaret had. We are all blessed to have known her and we all mourn her passing.
God Bless,
Carrie Hastings Comella

My sister Barbara Buehler Amsdell of Ashtabula, Ohio and I are sorry to learn of Mary Margaret's passing and send you our deepest sympathies. Barbara (Bootzie) and Mary Margaret's friendship goes back to their days growing up In Morgantown. Our family treasures photos of them in their dance recital costumes and tap shoes along with our sister Dolores, who later married into the wonderful Hastings family. As the youngest of the Buehler sisters, I remember enjoying Mary Margaret's company most recently at an 80th. birthday party for my sister's friend a few years ago when we were visiting Morgantown. She was so cheerful and pleasant to be with. May God comfort you in your loss.

I am so sorry for Mary's passing. Sympathy and prayers to Odell and the family. She is a lady of my heart since she started out teaching physical education. I retired after teaching PE 36 years. I'm sure many students have fond memories of Mary as a coach, teacher, and friend.

I met Mrs. Miller a number of times due to my longstanding friendship with Mark, and enjoyed her hospitality when I joined the family to see a WVU football game long ago. She was gracious, had a nice sense of humor, and clearly has had a very positive impact on her friends, students and family down through the years. I knew that she collected owls, was devoted to her family, and loved seeing her grandchildren- but I just learned about her poetry, bowling etc. on this site, and wish so much that I had gotten to know her better. May God bless her husband, sons, family and friends with comfort at this sad time, and help them to remember and share happy memories of time spent together in her company, as time goes on. All my love...Teri Fahsl

Had received notice of Mrs. Miller's passing. I had her as a gym teacher when I attended school in Raymond, OH. She was a patient teacher, but also she wanted you to do the activities she gave us. She never gave up on her students. Bless you, Mary.

Odell and family we send our heart felt sympathy to all of you!
She was always one of our favorite teachers. They don't make them like her anymore!
