I played for Coach Mac at VMI and consider the McPherson family to be my second family. All of the former players have such fond memories of Chris as a young child who came to most of our practices - we would love to play around with him - placing him in trash cans - taping him to the backboard supports - he loved every minute of it. The world has lost a wonderful, fun loving and WVU sports fan and that makes me sad - he will not be forgotten.

Chris was one of the wonderful kids that I grew up with on Western Avenue. I have so many memories of those days. He was always such a character, especially when he got around the other boys from the neighborhood. I always loved his ornery smile and laugh.
My heart just breaks for the family. He was taken far, far too soon.

Dear Peggy, Gary, Missy and Patty,
Sheila and I, and our entire family, are so profoundly sorry for your loss. Losing a spouse or a sibling is heart-wrenching. The loss of a child, no matter how old, is unimaginable.
There aren't words which will really comfort you, at the loss of Chris. But know that your friends and neighbors will always be here, ready to lend a hand.
With much love...
Dennis and Sheila
