We were sorry to hear about Jay's passing. Jay and I were teammates in Little League, and in later years, we were neighbors. Our sympathies go out to his family.

Jay and I go back a long way -- to the 40's -- when our fathers (who were brothers) and their young families both moved in with our granddad, J. M. Bucklew I, on Richwood Avenue because housing was sort following World War II. Jay and I were preschoolers then. Late, when our families moves into their own homes in Morgantown, we each had a sibling (Judy (Bucklew) Stuart & Gary Bucklew) and the four of us were in the same schools -- MJHS (where we were in the marching band), MHS (where Jay was Student Council President for the Class of '62) and WVU. Those carefree years hold many typical memories of that place and time -- family picnics at Cooper's Rock, board games while our moms put together holiday menus, catching fireflies.
My heart goes out to Jay's sister, Judy Stuart, and his children, Jay IV and Beth. May your memories of the good times bring you peace and comfort.

Jay was a good man and he will be missed.
Very sorry to learn of his death.
We were friends from high school but he kept up with many of us through his jokes, stories, and funny emails.
