Obituary of Thomas Lee Colebank
Thomas “Tom” Lee Colebank, 45, of Morgantown, WV went home to be with the Lord surrounded by his family and friends in Morgantown, on July 14th, 2017, after a lengthy illness.
He was born on September 22nd, 1971, the son of Norman and Connie Colebank.
Tom graduated from University High School and continued his education at Fairmont State University where he worked very hard to earn his Master's degree in education. On September 21, 2002, he married the love of his life Jackie Francoeur. Tom loved teaching and taught history and special education. He spent many summers working for Emma Kaufman Camp (EKC).
Tom also loved to travel and cook new and exciting foods. He loved the Mountaineers and enjoyed tailgating where he had so much pride for the state of West Virginia. Tom had a strong love for life, but above all else, Tom loved God and his family. He was very friendly and one of the most positive people you could meet. Tom was an amazing husband, father, son, and brother. His love for his family and friends will always be felt.
In addition to his parents, Tom is survived by his wife Jackie Colebank; son, Micheal Workman; daughters, Carly Slivka and spouse Jacob Slivka, Tiffany Workman, and Holly Workman; siblings Debbie and husband Bob Carter, Rick and wife Marsha Colebank, Brian and wife Misti Colebank.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Clara and Lee Moore; his paternal grandparents, Thomas and Eleanor Colebank.
Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce Street, Morgantown, WV on Tuesday, July 18 from 4-7 pm and on Wednesday, July 19 from 10 am until the time of the service at 11 am with Pastor David M. Coe officiating. In accordance with his wishes, cremation services will follow.
