Obituary of Linda Rae Malarkey
Steven Dennis “Steve”, 65, and Linda Rae Malarkey, 64, both of Morgantown, passed away Thursday, August 10, 2017, at their residence.
Steve was born in Washington, D.C. on May 6th, 1952, son of the late John Edward and Mary Virginia (Buckley) Malarkey.
Linda was born in Maine on March 6th, 1953, daughter to the late Ray and Elsie Haist.
Steve and Linda were high school sweethearts, and were married right out of school for 44 happy years. Steve joined the Navy for 6 years. This allotted them to travel significantly, which they both enjoyed. After settling down in Morgantown, Steve became best known for his CatNip videos which he invented and produced locally. Linda also helped him in this project. However, she, in later years, was very involved in collecting fashion dolls, even making her own popular website involving the doll world.
Steve is survived by his loving siblings, Missy Malarkey of Morgantown, and Sean Malarkey and his wife, Anne of Washington, D.C. Linda is also survived by her in-laws.
Both Steve and Linda are preceded in death by their parents.
In accordance with their wishes, Hastings Funeral Home Omega Crematory will be handling cremation services.
