Obituary of Effie Mae Harper Lambert
Effie Mae Harper Lambert, 80, passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2017 at Lane Purcell Hospice House in Sumterville, Florida. Effie was born on May 22, 1936 near Cheat Lake, West Virginia to George Abraham Hewitt and Grace Miller Hewitt.
Prior to living in Florida, Effie spent most of her life in Morgantown, West Virginia where she held several jobs including Licensed Vocational Nurse with the Monongalia County Health Department.
Effie was preceded in death by her first husband Charles E. Harper, her sister Virginia Misik, son Larry Alan Harper and two step sons, Charles A. Harper and Robert L. Harper.
Effie is survived by her sons: Edward Lee Harper of Ruskin, Florida, Michael Adam Harper of Reedsville, West Virginia, Mark Alan Harper of Morgantown, West Virginia; daughter Sandra Mae Belt of Morgantown, West Virginia; and step daughter Judy Simmons of Akron, Ohio along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Effie is also survived by her siblings: George Hewitt of Copperas Cove, Texas, Richard Hewitt of Port Charlotte, Florida, Emma Wujcik of Morgantown, West Virginia, and Linda Samsell of Stockton, CA. Effie is survived by her former husband and companion for the past 17 years, Thomas Fred Lambert of Lake Panasoffkee, Florida.
Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce Street, Morgantown, on Saturday, September 9th from 3 – 6 PM until the time of the memorial service at 6 PM with Pastor Lynda Masters officiating.
