Obituary of Lottie Jo Mundell
Lottie Jo Mundell, 91, of Morgantown, went to meet her Lord and Savior on October 25, 2017. She was a resident of Sundale Nursing Home.
Lottie was born in Fairmont, WV, on May 4, 1926, the daughter of the late Reverend Charles E. and and Eugenia Lee (Clark) Hawkins.
Lottie made her home at Unity Manor for over 20 years and spent over two years at Sundale Nursing Home. She was known for her crossstitch embrodiery, as well as coloring in coloring books. She found enjoyment in giving her beautiful artwork as gifts.
Lottie is survived by her sons, Charles Ray Gribble and wife, Glenda, of Mineral City, OH, and George Tom Gribble and wife, Del, of Grand Cane, LA. Lottie was the proud grandmother of several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Lottie was predeceased by her husband, Willis E. Mundell, who passed away in 1990; siblings Bertha May Carr, Edith E. Jean Snider, Charles R., Lawrence, Richard, George, David Hawkins and her close nephew, Thomas W. Swisher.
Family and friends will be received Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce Street, Morgantown, WV, on Sunday, October 29, 2017, from 2 pm until the time of service at 4 pm with Pastor Dan Meadows officiating. Private family graveside service will be conducted at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens at a later date.
