Obituary of Amy Jean Wright
Amy Jean Kisner Wright, 84, of Morgantown, passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2017, at her home.
Amy was born in Hopemont, WV, on March 9, 1933, the daughter of the late Walter and Myrtle (Rodeheaver) Kisner. She was a homemaker and later worked for WVU from which she retired.
She is survived by her children: Diana Gunnoe and husband, Clinton, Debra Sommer, Linda Smith and husband, Mike, Timothy Wolfe and wife, Pamela; grandchildren: Clinton Gunnoe III, Shawn Gunnoe, Mathew Gunnoe, Jason Smith, Jodi Smith, Justin Wolfe, Michelle Wolfe; twelve great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and siblings: Jimmy Kisner, Patricia Poling, Larry Kisner and John Kisner.
In addition to her parents, Amy was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Wright; siblings: Wilma Williams, Maxine Taylor, Dorothy Williams, Donald Kisner, Mary Alterman, Billy Kisner, Richard Kisner, Robert Kisner, Prentiss Kisner; son in law, Jay Pickett; and her children’s father, Willard Wolfe.
The family wishes to give special thanks to her loving caregivers, especially Maxine, Bonnie, Tammy, Michelle (granddaughter) and Pam (daughter in law) as well as the nurses and aides at Amedisys Hospice Care.
Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home on Sunday, November 12 from 1 – 3 PM and on Monday, November 13 from 10 – 11 AM until the time of service at 11 PM with Chaplain Craig Falkenstein officiating. Interment will follow at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens.
