Our condolences to your family. Both Burkey and Mary Lou were dear, loving people and we shall miss them terribly. Their love for God and family was constant and their smiles were contagious. They embodied hospitality, opening their home to us on many occasions for a meal or just to chat. It gives us comfort to know that they are in the Lord’s loving embrace and we shall see them again someday.
God Bless,
Mark and Kelly Kays

Burkey and Marylou were wonderful neighbors and will be greatly missed in our neck of the woods. We'd like to offer our sympathies to their large and wonderful family, who took such devoted care of them during their final years.

Dear Keith, Warren and Sarabeth,
We want to express our sympathy for the loss of your father, Burkey. He was a very
generous and kind gentleman, whom we knew through the First Baptist Church. He and
Mary Lou provided many delicious dinners at their home, and their hospitality was first-rate. We will never forget them.
May God comfort you and give you peace.

I was their pastor and neighbor for six years. They were each remarkable and loving. Their faith was solid and their use of it was extensive. I value their lives, and anticipate reunion in eternity.

Sarabeth, Ron and family,
I did not have the privilege of knowing your father. His obituary was beautiful and after I read his amazing life, I am sure that he made a difference in the many lives that he touched. What a wonderful full live he experienced!
.Please accept our condolences
