Obituary of Vivian M. Berkshire
Vivian M. Berkshire, 92, of Morgantown, passed away Tuesday, January 16th at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born December 13, 1925 in Morgantown, a daughter of the late Arthur and Virginia May (Carroll) Berkshire.
She was a longtime member of the Spruce St. United Methodist Church and completed a discipleship program through the church. In her earlier years, she volunteered for the Red Cross. She also really enjoyed spending time with her best friends, Doris, Shirley, Liz, Louise, Betty, and Martha. She was also a very avid football fan of WVU and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
She is survived by her brother, Donald Berkshire and his wife Lila of Morgantown and sister, Dorothy Mohl of Lebanon, PA. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, who lovingly called her “Bijie.”
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her siblings, Betty Jane, Jack, and Robert Berkshire.
Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown on Thursday, January 18th from 4-8 and again on Friday, January 19th from 10 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11 AM with Rev. Dr. Timothy J. Allen officiating. Interment will follow at East Oak Grove Cemetery.
