Obituary of Morley James McBee
Morley James McBee, 85, of Morgantown passed away on Monday, January 29, 2018, following a brief illness.
Born on June 6, 1932, Jim was a lifelong resident of Morgantown's First Ward neighborhood. He was the son of Morley G. and Laura K. McBee.
An avid outdoorsman, Jim's perfect day was on a trout stream no matter the weather conditions. He was a lifetime member of Trout Unlimited and for many years volunteered countless hours to stream improvement projects and fingerling stocking programs. A passionate gardener, Jim's biggest joys were sharing his bounty with friends and neighbors. Jim was retired from Kohler's Sterling Faucet Plant.
Jim is survived by his daughter, Bonnie Ann and his son-in-law, Wayne Fisher; cousin Dan McBee; his special niece Laura Kelly Lewis, her husband John and sons Patrick and Thomas; sister-in-law Shirley Devers Orr and husband John; many nieces, nephews, and their families; and a host of special friends.
In addition to his parents, Jim is proceeded in death by the love of his life Barbara Devers McBee; sister Bonnie I. Kelly; and brothers Howard, Kenneth, and Joe.
Memorial donations may be made to Trout Unlimited PPK Chapter (637 Grand St. Morgantown, WV 26501).
Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown WV on Saturday, February 3rd from 10 AM until the time of the service at 11:00 AM with Dr. Randall Flanagan officiating. A private interment will take place Mount Calvary Cemetery.
